The 2024 season at the Deauville International Polo Club, set in Normandy, France, known as the Barriere Deauville Polo Cup, will kick off on Saturday August 3. The contest will be played thoroghout August, with polo for all levels and will come to an with the ice on the cake, the coveted Coupe d’Or, one of the most significant and traditional tournaments of the international calendar. The Coupe d’Or WILL BE STREAMED LIVE ON POLOLINE TV.
The first tournament of the 2024 Barriere Deauville Polo Cup will be the Coupe d’Argent, due to start on Saturday August 3.
As usual, the Barriere Deauville Polo Cup will feature the Ladies Polo Cup – Diane Barriere; a ladies test match between France and Rest of the World; as well as the Coupe de Bronze, that will be played simultaneously with the Coupe d’Or. In addition, there will be Beach Polo and the traditional teams parade on the streets of the beautiful Deauville, one of the most iconic spots in France, where Coco Chanel began her extremely successful as couturier that led them to a timeless fashion icon. Marcel Proust also made several references to Normandy in his monumental book, A la Recherche du Temps Perdu, considered one of the most remarkable masterpieces in the history of literature.
Among the players who will be in Deauville, are Lia Salvo, Luisa del Carril, Milly Hine, Pearl and Elena Venot, Milagros Sanchez, Lavinia Fabre, as well as Isabelle Larenaudie, the recent winner of the Nations Cup with Télédou Occitane France. With regards to the gentlemen, Deauville will see, among others, Guillermo Caset, Juan Martín Zubía, Rufino Bensadon, the always present Zavaleta family, Guillermo Terrera, Pierre-Henri N’Goumou.
