Distinguished international lawyer and strategist, Romain Gerardin-Fresse, a former political and diplomatic advisor who advises many public figures, was invited to attend the final of 2024 Dubai Polo Silver Cup. It may be interesting to note that besides being a Polo lover Romain is also a Polo player.
The final match saw the national team of Emirates and the “Al Habtoor” teams against each other at the Al Habtoor Polo and Equestrian Club and Resort, in presence of royals and the Al Habtoor family.
It may be recalled that Romain who had established his first office in the UAE in 2019, is planning to open other office in Abu Dhabi in January 2024.
Speaking about his experience at Dubai Polo Silver Cup, Romain said: “I am really excited to attend Dubai Polo Silver Cup. I have been ardent follower of Polo since early days and it will be nice to see one of the best teams in the world compete for this prestigious trophy. Polo is a demanding sport, based on technique and speed, where communion with the horse is paramount. It’s wonderful to see such a wide range of teams, just like Dubai, an international city where different cultures thrive peacefully under.”
Well-known in the media, Romain was recently named ‘Middle East Outstanding Leader of the Year’ at the Burj CEO Awards by the CEO Clubs Network in Dubai. His name was also in the spotlight at Times Square in New York. He is the recipient of Asia’s Influential Leader Award which was awarded for his distinguished services in the field of law, after receiving the “Outstanding European CEO Achiever of the Year”, “Mentor of the Year”, and “Most Valuable CEO of the Year” awards.
The famous strategist has been recently recognized as one of the 100 Visionary Entrepreneurs of the Year 2024 by the Emirates Finest Business Awards. This prestigious acknowledgment reflects his significant contributions to business, strategy, and the promotion of the United Arab Emirates as a thriving business hub.
These accolades, celebrate Romain’s work in building his international legal advisory firm, GFK Alliance Strategies, which incorporates GFK Middle East, in recognition of GFK’s expansion in the Middle East, and its long-term presence in Dubai.
Romain set up a multidisciplinary consultancy in France in 2017, focusing on corporate strategy and resolving technically complex issues. As the reputation of GFK began to grow internationally, Romain found a niche in top-of-the-range and made-to-measure consultancy, and in so doing, attracted an elite clientele, including governments and heads of state, as well as artists, actors, comedians and top sportsmen and women.
