From 10th to 14th March, six teams fought for the 2015 Thailand Polo Ambassador Cup at the VR Sports Club in Bangkok. Teams from across Asia with Argentine and English pros gave an international feel to the tournament, teams included home side King Power, Shailai Liu’s Tang Polo from Beijing China, a young team playing under the L’Oreal Men’s Expert name, English patron (who is based in Thailand) Edward Batchelor of Cormix International Polo Team (who for the Ambassador Cup played under his sponsors name – Crockfords with English four goal pro Mike Howe), SPP (Siam Park Polo) and Globalport from the Philippines, which is headed up by businessman ‘Mikee’ Michael Romero, Vice Chairman of Air Asia Philippines.
Following the Finals of the Ambassador Cup, the VR Sports Club, Bangkok will play host to the sixth Lawyers Polo Tournament. This will be the first time the tournament (which runs from 17th – 20th March) will have been played in Thailand.
Emirates International Open Polo Championship begins Friday
Ghantoot Polo Club, Abu Dhabi will host the 14th Emirates International Open Polo Championship tournament from Friday 20 March to Friday 3 April.

From 3rd to 8th March the Diplomats’ Cup was held at the Singapore Polo Club for the third time. Five teams attended the tournament, representing the regions of the world: Africa, Asia, Europe, America and Oceania. In the final the teams Asia and Africa met. Sattar Khan (+4), Satinder Garcha (+2), Creighton Yeo (-2) as well as Lawrence Khong and Keith Yeo (0), sharing one position, won against team Africa by 13-6,5. Goal scorer of the match was Satinder Garcha, scoring eight out of 13 goals for his team.
