Charity event in aid of Prostate Cancer sees rock legends gather for polo
Kenney Jones' annual event for charity, was this year held on 13 June, and saw an incredible line-up gather at Hurtwood Park Polo Club to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK's movement for men, Men United.
Deaths of well-known polo personalities
Recently the polo world was saddened to hear of the death of David Rollinson aged 90 years on 23 May. A long-standing member of the Cheshire Polo Club, he reached a 3 goal handicap and counted victories in the Cowdray Park Challenge Cup and the Royal Windsor as his greatest polo achievements.
The new edition of the Paris Open, presented by Maserati, kicked off on Saturday June 13. The 10-goal tournament sees six teams battle it out at Paris Polo Club, in Bois de Boulogne. It is worth noting that the first edition of this tournament took place in 1894!
The two King Power teams – patroned by brothers Top and Ton Srivaddhanaprabha – dominated the Cartier Queen’s Cup Finals on Sunday 14 June. King Power Foxes retained their unbeaten run in this 22-goal competition to receive the prestigious trophy from HM The Queen.
