It was a full day of polo for the 44 kids taking part in the Polo Training Foundation’s Major Collins Memorial and the Tackeria Cup Wednesday at the International Polo Club.
The 17-week high goal winter season that begins Thursday will be a historical family affair.
For the first time in the sport’s history, a father, mother and son will all field high goal polo teams at International Polo Club Palm Beach.
It’s that time of the year again and eleven teams have gathered in Wellington, Florida to compete in the Major Collins Memorial and the Tackeria Cup as young players continue to hone their skills as they continue to embrace the sport of polo.
New polo players have to come from somewhere, that’s one of the reasons the Polo Training Foundation is investing time and resources into tournaments like this week’s Major Collins Memorial Cup and the Tackeria Cup at the International Polo Club in Wellington.
A twenty-one game schedule for the Joe Barry Memorial Cup and the subsidiary, Bobby Barry Cup, will get started with a twin bill on Saturday, January 8th when La Indiana (Michael Bickford, Joao Paulo Ganon, Ruki Baillieu and Tommy Biddle) faces Enigma (Jerome Wirth, Jeff Hall, Matias MacDonough and Carlucho Arellano) in a 1pm tilt.
