It was Villa del Lago’s (Jim Zenni, Guille Aguero, Hilario Ulloa and Agustin Obregon) fifth final appearance in the season-opening 20-goal Herbie Pennell Cup at the International Polo Club, and after racing out to a 9-4 halftime lead, they looked to be assured of their first win.
On Wednesday, Dec. 30, Gulfstream Polo Club held the finals of its yearly season opener--the William B. Cary 4-Goal, in memory of the late and great Bill Cary.

The 17-week high goal winter season that begins Thursday will be a historical family affair.
For the first time in the sport’s history, a father, mother and son will all field high goal polo teams at International Polo Club Palm Beach.
It’s that time of the year again and eleven teams have gathered in Wellington, Florida to compete in the Major Collins Memorial and the Tackeria Cup as young players continue to hone their skills as they continue to embrace the sport of polo.
New polo players have to come from somewhere, that’s one of the reasons the Polo Training Foundation is investing time and resources into tournaments like this week’s Major Collins Memorial Cup and the Tackeria Cup at the International Polo Club in Wellington.
