A 13-7 win against Gateway Merchant for Gillian Johnston’s Coco-Cola team (Gillian Johnston, Sugar Erskine, Julio Arellano and Mason Wroe), defeated Gateway Merchant 13 goals to 7 in yesterday’s action.
LAKE WORTH, FLORIDA – Jared Zenni of Lake Bluff has been selected to join the U.S. Polo Association’s Team USPA along with three other new members following a rigorous tryout and selection process in Wellington, Florida. In addition to Zenni, the new members of Team USPA are Wesley Bryan of Aiken, South Carolina, Connor Deal of Culpeper, Virginia, and Jonny Lavine of Wellington, Florida. The Team USPA roster now includes 61 players.
Argentine 9-goaler Polito Pieres led Villa Del Lago (Jim Zenni, Agustin Obregon, Polito Pieres and Julian de Lusarreta) to a 17-13 win over Tonkawa (Jeff Hildebrand, Gonzalo Deltour, Inaki Laprida and Jeff Blake) Tuesday afternoon in the 2015 Ylvisaker Cup at the International Polo Club. Pieres scorched Tonkawa for twelve goals on the day as Villa Del Lago registered a commanding 17-13win.
On Saturday, 14th February 2015, the Nespresso 40-Goal Challenge is coming to the International Polo Club Palm Beach. Eight of the world’s highest ranked 10-goal polo players will take to the field at the prestigious club in Wellington, Florida, to help raise money for the Polo Players Support Group during the Nespresso 40-Goal Challenge fundraiser.
At the risk of hyperbole, Sunday’s 20-goalYlvisaker polo game between Enigma (Jerome Wirth, Jeff Hall, Matias MacDonough and Carlucho Arellano) and Palm Beach Illustrated (Tommy Collingwood, Jared Zenni, Facundo Obregon and Michel Dorignac) at the International Polo Club was one of the most exciting games of the season.
