Time to dig out the bobble hats and tweed for the arena season
It’s that time of year again when summer season ponies are having their shoes off and kicking up their heels in their winter turnout fields, while the arena ponies are coming in to get fit for another season.
On the past weekend, the second edition of the Cultura Mezcal Polo Cup and Mexican Art Festival once again gathered polo players from Mexico, the USA, Argentina, Great Britain, Switzerland and Spain at the Ibiza Polo Club. The event combined various art disciplines with the fast-paced sport of polo.

The Gold Cup final will be played tomorrow at St Tropez Polo Club. The first confirmed finalist was Saint Tropez Polo Team after their victory in the first semifinal on Friday. Today Eleven Eleven Polo Team secured the second spot in the final after beating Sezz 8-5.
Following their highly successful 2015 high-goal season in England, playing together with King Power Foxes and winning both the Queen’s Cup at Guards Polo Club and the Gold Cup at Cowdray Park Polo Club, brothers and Piaget Ambassadors, Gonzalito and Facundo Pieres, enjoyed a few weeks of downtime before heading to the St. Tropez Polo Club to play in the 18-goal Cote d’Azur tournament.
Combining polo and philanthropy with all things quintessentially British is at the very heart of all the British Polo Days that take place around the world. The second British Polo Day of 2015 was held on Saturday 25th April at Jnan Amar Polo Club under the High Patronage of his Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, with funds being raised for the Eve Branson Foundation.
