The two games of the 122th. Hurlingham Open, that were scheduled to be played on Friday October 30 on the Argentine Polo Association fields, in Pilar, have been postponed due to rains.
Power of Polo’s first partner charity was South Central Youth based in Streatham who selected six young men aged 13 – 23 years old to join two previously selected by the charity in a four day residential course held in August at Fifield Polo Club.
We’ve had such a fun spring and summer at the club – chock full of memorable moments on the grass and arena, riding, drinking beers and cheering our teammates. The XI Copa Municipalidad de Pilar had a very busy Wednesday, with no less than five matches, that took place on the Argentine Polo Association fields, in Pilar.
Launched in May 2015, Power of Polo is a charity which aims to be a ‘vehicle of change’ in the lives of young people and adults, helping wounded ex-servicemen and woman and disadvantaged children through the sport of polo.
At the young age of 38, Nacho Figueras is arguably the most famous polo player in the world. He learned the sport at the age of nine and is currently one of the top 100 players in the world. The Argentinian born Figueras lives in Buenos Aires with his wife Delfina, and their four children.
