The Hurlingham Open Update

There was no rest for the high goalers out in Argentina as Tuesday 20 October saw the first two games of the Hurlingham Open take place on the Association fields in Pilar.

COPA MUNICIPALIDAD DE PILAR

On Thursday 22/10, the XI edition of the traditional Copa Municipalidad de Pilar was launched. Fifteen teams from 25-29 goals are participating in the tournament, in five different zones.

THAI POLO IN ARGENTINA Ten teams in competition

Thai Polo landed in Argentina, in 2014, with a huge successful Thai Polo Cup Argentina, hosted by the club's heart and soul, Harald Link.

FIFTEEN TEAMS IN PILAR

The Copa Municipalidad de Pilar, featuring fifiteen teams up to 29 goals, will kick off on Thursday October 22, on the Argentine Polo Association fields, in Pilar.

ELLERSTINA PIAGET AND ALEGRIA

Ellerstina Piaget and Alegria scored wins in the second day of the 122th. Hurlingham Open, that took place on the Argentine Polo Association fields, in Pilar. Following two very narrow matches, Ellerstina beat Magual, and Alegria edged Chapaleufu.

HURLINGHAM OPEN KICKED OFF

The 122 Hurlingham Open, second stage of the Triple Crown in Argentina, kicked off today on the Argentine Polo Association fields, in Pilar, featuring eight teams up to 40 goals. The opening day had wins for La Dolfina and La Aguada, against Washington and La Aguada Las Monjitas, respectively.

La Dolfina completed the first stage of three as they took Ellerstina 11-9 in the final of the Tortugas Open, on the first step to the triple crown for the third year running. Surpassing the record set by the great Coronel Suarez team is within reach.

Saturday’s performance by Adolfo Cambiaso in the final of the Tortugas Open, the first leg of Argentina’s Triple Crown of Polo should put to rest any rumors about this being his last year of high-goal polo before retiring to his home in Cañuelas.
